Membership for Businesses, Organizations - Utilities Section Newsletter
The Utilities Section of the League of Nebraska Municipalities is a Section of the League of Nebraska Municipalities which provides assistance to members and input to the League of Nebraska Municipalities on issues related to municipal utilities and public works operations, such as:
- Electricity
- Drinking Water
- Natural Gas
- Wastewater
- Solid Waste
- Streets and Roads
- Stormwater Discharge
- Cable Television
- Utility and Public Works Management
- Airports
- Parks and Recreation
- Ratemaking
The Utilities Sections also:
- Represents the interests of municipal utility operations on proposed regulations and other matters before various state agencies.
- Provides technical assistance and training to municipal officials, employees, agents, and other appropriate persons in municipal utilities and public works operations.
- Conducts an annual conference, seminars, and meetings, for municipal officials, employees, agents, and other appropriate persons interested in municipal utilities and public works operations.
- Publishes a monthly newsletter and informative materials for municipal officials, employees, agents, and other appropriate persons interested in municipal utilities and public works operations.
- Promotes, encourages, and facilitates communication among municipal officials, employees, agents, and other appropriate persons interested in municipal utilities and public works operations.
The Utilities Section is governed by an Executive Board of Utilities and Public Works officials from Nebraska municipalities. All members of the League of Nebraska Municipalities are eligible to become Utilities Section Members.
